As a player, Blaes, started over 125 games at the Division 1 level as a Slapper/Outfielder, playing 3 seasons at Birmingham Southern and 1 season at Tennessee Tech.

Her prep career includes 2 State Championships and an All State selection at Girls Preparatory School.

Blaes is now in her second year as Head Softball Coach at Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga. She coached five seasons at the ASA 18U Gold level and currently coaches the Fury 95 team.

Blaes has worked numerous camps and clinics with some of the top coaches and instructors in the country.
